Location scouting in Cyprus

A useful Cyprus scout is five or six days with a location manager in the van, not a weekend of drops. The island is small, but permits, hotel access, and light at the coast all need a second look.

What the scout includes

• A location manager for the full recce
• A vehicle sized to the party
• A hotel base, often Limassol, so Paphos, Nicosia, and the east are day trips
• A shortlist with photos, access notes, and the permit path for each place
• Introductions to hotels and private owners when the brief needs an interior

Flights are the client’s. Send a request with the scout dates, and note if you need a location manager, a vehicle, and any director of photography days.
